By the end of this year, Massoth will add two additional mounting sets to its range of 8440012 and 8440022 pantograph drives. This makes it possible to equip the PIKO BR 103 (PIKO 37440) and the LGB self unloading wagon (LGB 41615) with a professional drive.
Both mounting sets enable a professional and relatively simple as well as quick installation of the drives in the models mentioned. The necessary mounting material and instructions are of course included with the mounting kits.
As known from the classic LGB locomotives Ge 4/4 II and 4/4 III, the pantographs can be operated manually at any time, regardless of whether the pantograph has just been extended or retracted. This is possible with the help of a special mechanical drive solution. Massoth does not rely on cheap servo drives but uses special gear motors with full metal gears, which shine with a high running smoothness and low speed. With the new mounting sets, this outstanding function is also available for the PIKO BR 103 and the LGB self-discharging wagon.
