International Shipments & changed custom regulations

There have been changes to the international customs regulations recently. Therefore any imported shipment with a value of more than 150€ now has to go through an additional custom process. This leads to additional charges and hours, because each of these shipments requires an additional fee and personal pickup from the customs office.

You surely understand that we are not able to cover all these extra costs. We are therefore forced to proportionally charge our customers. We will only pass on the addional fee that the custom service provider charges. This import customs fee per shipment is currently 50€.

To keep costs low for you and us, we absolutely recommend you to double check which item has to be sent in. We would advice our retailers to collect several customer items for a combined shipment.

Therefore in case of service we ask you to

• Please use the service form to clarify with the technicians up front whether it is necessary to send in the product.
• In case of shipment, please inform us in writing (via eMail to sales@massoth.de) about the shipment with details of the contents so that we can inform customs about the contents and prove the value of the components when the shipment arrives. Only in this way is import processing possible. If this information is not available, we are forced in case of doubt to make two appointments at the customs office, which unnecessarily increases the effort and cost.
