In spring 2024, the Massoth Systems GmbH began a revision of the Powercap product line with the launch of the newly developed eMOTION Powercap 200 (8151301) in order to adapt these energy storage systems to the ever-advancing technical environment in a future-proof manner.
The next step is the eMOTION Powercap 900 (8151311), one of Massoth’s autumn innovations. 92 Ws, which is around 4.5 times higher than the smaller eMOTION Powercap 200, is enough to buffer a single-motor locomotive for up to six seconds at almost full power with motor current, light and sound. This means that even larger turnout routes with several plastic frogs in succession are no longer a serious obstacle for Stainz and Co.
The eMOTION Powercap 900 replaces the eMOTION Powercap Micro (8151601) and boasts significantly smaller dimensions of 30x30x16 mm with even slightly increased performance. The non-binding sales price of the eMOTION Powercap 900 has been significantly reduced compared to the previous MSRP of the eMOTION Powercap Micro.
With this presentation of the second component in the new Powercap series, Massoth Systems has also reduced the MSRP of the eMOTION Powercap 200 to €29.
For the connection with the three-wire cable in digital and analog vehicles for the garden railroad, nothing has changed and, as usual with Massoth, the Powercaps come with detailed operating and connection instructions in printed form.
